【摘要】:ThispartofIEC60793establishesuniformrequirementsformeasuringthechromaticdispersionofopticalfibre,therebyassistingintheinspectionoffibresandcablesforcommercialpurposes.Chromaticdispersionvarieswithwavelength.Somemethodsandimplementationsmeasurethegroupdelayasafunctionofwavelengthandthechromaticdispersionanddispersionslopearededucedfromthederivatives(withrespecttowavelength)ofthisdata.Thisdifferentiationismostoftendoneafterthedataarefittedtoamathematicalmodel.Otherimplementationscanallowdirectmeasurement(ofthechromaticdispersion)ateachoftherequiredwavelengths.Forsomecategoriesoffibre,thechromaticdispersionattributesarespecifiedwiththeparametersofaspecificmodel.Inthesecases,therelevantrecommendationorstandarddefinesthemodelappropriateforthedefinitionofthespecifiedparameters.Forotherfibrecategories,thedispersionisspecifiedtobewithinagivenrangeforoneormorespecifiedwavelengthintervals.Inthelattercase,eitherdirectmeasurementsmaybemadeatthewavelengthextremesorsomefittingmodelmaybeusedtoalloweithergroupdelaymeasurementmethodsorimplementationsorstorageofareducedsetofparametersthatmaybeusedtocalculatetheinterpolateddispersionforparticularwavelengthswhichmaynothaveactualdirectmeasurementvalues.AnnexEgivesageneraldescriptionofchromaticdispersionfittingandoutlinesanumberoffittingequationssuitableforusewithanyofthemeasurementmethodsorfibrecategories.Thisstandardgivesfourmethodsformeasuringchromaticdispersion:–methodA:phaseshift;–methodB:spectralgroupdelayinthetimedomain;–methodC:differentialphaseshift;–methodD:interferometry.MethodsA,B,andCapplytothemeasurementofchromaticdispersionofthefollowingfibresoveraspecifiedwavelengthrange:–classA1graded-indexmultimodefibres;–categoryA4f,A4gandA4hmultimodefibres;–classBsingle-modefibres(allcategories).MethodDappliestothemeasurementofchromaticdispersionvaluesofsingle-modefibrescategoriesB1,B2,B4andB5overthe1000nmto1700nmwavelengthrange.Themethodscanbeappliedtolaboratory,factoryandfieldmeasurementsofchromaticdispersion,andthewavelengthrangeofthemeasurementscanbetailoredasrequired.MeasurementsaremadeattemperatureasstatedinIEC60793-1-1,Table1–Standardrangeofatmosphericconditions(Temperature23°C±5°C).Themethodsaresuitableforfibreorcablelengthsgreaterthan1km.Theymayalsobeappliedtoshorterlengths,butaccuracyandrepeatabilitymaybecompromised.MethodDisthepreferredmethodforshorterpiecefibres(1mto10m).InformationcommontoallmethodsiscontainedinClauses1-8,andinformationpertainingtoeachindividualmethodappearsinAnnexesA,B,C,andD,respectively.
